I see the flame
And oh how I wish to be engulfed
But this time I know
That if I get too close I will be burnt,
and I will have had it coming to me
How I see its hypnotizing light dance before my eyes,
And how I wish to run for it,
But if I make any wrong move
Or come to quickly it will only vanish again
And be all the more harder to find
Alas the patience!
Can I succeed in a mission pre-set to failure?
Can I let myself walk its path
When all it holds for me is an abyss
I refuse to admit is there?
This lust yet suspicion,
This greed and joy yet sorrow and anguish;
How can I be taunted once more?
I cannot hide from the shadows of tomorrow,
For I no longer want to lay in the bed full of sorrows.
