Have you ever read a book that was made from a blog? I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Well, starting last summer, I discovered I have a warm spot for these types of books. Perhaps because I blog? Very likely. My first book of this genre (or at least I make blog books their own genre) was one by Douglas Adams; the author of the “Dilbert” comics.
I don’t think there was a defined subject to this book. Mostly random stories and such, kind of like Metaphorical Coffee. Just a book to make you laugh, ponder and scheme. Good for over coffee, or for those with a short attention span and can’t focus (a.k.a. People like me.) As soon as I finished this book, I was hooked. I didn’t pick up my next blog book until last winter. This time, it was a more well-known one that I read so I would stop missing “inside” jokes. (In other words, I went to read this rather annoyed.)
I actually ended up really liking this book. By the way, “white people” can also be substituted with “practically a hipster” or “the author of this book”. I can assure you, if you happen to be in the least bit amused by or are a hipster, you will like this book. Finally, the last blog book I laid my hands on was the very popular blog book:
Despite being a book-worm, I still will read blogs however, because there just aren’t as many choices out there, and just not the ones I’m subscribed to. Keep blogging fellow bloggers, and may someday I see your blog books too!
