You know how people, whether it be your girlfriend, mom or friend, always bug you if you wear your comfy old sneakers? ” Those are so worn out, you need new ones.” “Your shoes are really ugly now…. you need to throw ’em out.” Well, I’m one of those dead sneaker wearers and I will tell you why you are justified to keep those shoes.
These are my very own sneakers that I painted myself
So yesterday my friend and I met at Starbucks for some coffee and just to chat and I decided for once I would not wear my sneakers and would wear a pair of moccasin-like shoes instead. Following our long discussion and two grande coffees we decided we would like to go walk. After all, the day was perfect weather and we booth like to walk, so its awesome right? Wrong. We walked for a good mile (to my knowledge) and MY FEET WERE NOT HAPPY. My moccasins decided they would embed my toes with miniature cuts, so being the smart person I am, I took off my shoes and walked bare foot. Wrong move again. By the end of our walk, which was actually quite pleasant despite this, I had a blister larger than a tooney on my heel.
What does this show us here? Stick to your old sneakers, you know that its worth it, after all we know nothing is perfect*… so pick the ones with ultimate comfort over “fashion”.
