I am going to start with an off-topic rant, sorry, then I will proceed to may actual post.
You’ve seen them in the grocery store, at the gas stations and even in the cafeteria. Ever tried these “baked chip” things? Well, I have, and I like them. No, correction, I prefer them. I don’t really like normal chips (I still eat them, don’t worry). Baked chips taste amazing to me. What I don’t understand is people who don’t like them. Yes, everyone has different tastes, but still. They are so much better for you anyways! Come on people!
Anyway, now that that is over, I am going to rant about coffee. Coffee is my now favorite beverage, in case you have not read my previous blog posts. I started drinking coffee when a fellow athlete forced me to try it so I would actually be awake at the morning practices (it didn’t work XD). I was hooked. And now I drink coffee every morning (at the least).
The purpose for my rant is when your coffee break isn’t so awesome. My first reason is that you have run out of cream. You see, I take my coffee double cream, single sugar style (and sometimes double double or just cream). This means that cream is an essential ingredient to my beloved, delicious cup of joe. When I have no cream for my coffee I GET ANNOYED. I usually pour out my coffee. But, you know, sometimes I just have to drink it regardless. This means resorting to the terrible monster called “coffee whitener”. *Shudder* nothing ruins coffee better than a good dose of coffee whitener. It makes coffee taste like caffeinated sludge.
Next, is when the coffee you have made didn’t filter properly. Like what happens when the filter rips or so on and you end up with coffee grinds mixed with your brew causing you to pour out the whole stinkin’ pot and make it all again (if you have time). This is mostly just inconvenient but whats even better is when you havent noticed this has happened and make your cup anyhow. And then drink it. Woops, not very tasty coffee then, is it?
Thirdly is the time when coffee goes wrong when buying it somewhere. This could mean getting a roast that is too dark or is robusta grind instead of arabica. Robusta is a different kind of coffee plan that is used to make cheaper coffees, traditional french roast, the stuff that comes in your hotel room, or multi-cultural african Starbucks blend (well, maybe not, but it sure tastes like it …). This means that you have paid for a terrible cup of coffee that you just don’t want to drink. Ripping you off on your prized beverage is not a way to make a happy customer.
Well, now that I have finished being angry at coffee, all of you coffee lovers should try my way of making cinnamon coffee. Mhhmmm. All you have to do is put in one teaspoon of cinnamon for every three-four teaspoons of coffee grind. Then make your coffee with that blend. Simple as that. Enjoy! Don’t forget to buy cream first if you take you’re coffee like mine!
